Presentation Documentation
Materials Used:
For this presentation, I used a Canva presentation, which is one of my favorite tools and the one I always use to create visually appealing and well-organized materials.
Preparation for the Presentation:
To prepare properly, I first researched the two applications I presented: ESL Cyber Listening Lab and ISLCollective. I made sure to understand their functions, benefits, and how they can be used in English language teaching. Both tools are highly useful for teachers looking for listening activities, worksheets, and educational videos with interactive exercises.
Challenges During the Presentation:
One of the main challenges was capturing and maintaining the audience's attention throughout the presentation. Although the topic was relevant, I realized that I could have engaged the attendees more to make the presentation more dynamic.
Audience Interaction and Key Takeaways:
During the presentation, I shared my opinion on the applications and explained why they are functional tools for teachers. However, audience participation was limited, which led me to reflect on the importance of fostering greater interaction in future presentations.
Improvements for Future Presentations:
In future presentations, I will implement strategies to make the audience more actively involved. Some actions I will consider include:
Asking for opinions at the beginning and end of the presentation.
Incorporating interactive activities, such as polls or open-ended questions.
Encouraging discussion on how the applications can be used in different educational contexts.
This reflection will help me improve my presentation skills and make my presentations more engaging and enriching for the audience
